Tis the season

Writer's picture: Rev. Kate J Meyer, LPCRev. Kate J Meyer, LPC

In 2004, I wrote an Advent journal written as a gift for my family. In the years since then, I've reviewed it and shared it on occasion, but never did anything large scale.

Until now.

Two weeks ago, while sitting in worship, I began thinking about this website and this blog and the fact I've not done much with it. A few days prior I talked myself out of a applying for a PhD because I realized doing so, while appealing, would be yet another diversion from pursuing this dream of writing and publishing. And yet, since that time, I've still done nothing.

Until now.

Fear has served as the paralyzing agent for far too long. Today, I kick through that.

So, here we are, the day before the start of Advent 2018. Beginning tomorrow, if you are signed up as a follower of my blog, you will receive a daily post direct from the original 2004 Advent Journal. Use it alone, use it as a family, use it with your small group; regardless, I pray it is a time in which you (re)discover the gifts inherent in this season.

As always, I welcome comments and feedback, so please post and let me know you're participating!

Blessings upon you in this season!
